Safety Guy made his ACW debut in 1998 and immediately began to make an impact in the hardcore division by capturing the title within a month of arriving in the company. Safety Guy captured the fans adulation and continued to win their respect by doing his hardcore wrestling style. Then in 2000 Safety Guy was sidelined by an injury and when he made his return in late 2000 the fans weren’t reacting to him like he was expecting, so Safety Guy made a change. In early 2001 Safety Guy started the come to the ring and start to speak on the evils of the hardcore division, like how it is to violent and it sets a bad example to the children of the world. With the change in attitude also came a change in wrestling style. Instead of using hardcore weapons Safety Guy will use technical wrestling. Soon after the change in style and attitude, Safety Guy recaptured the hardcore title. Safety Guy would hold the hardcore title 8 times in his carrier before the hardcore title was retired in 2003. Safety Guy’s greatest accomplishment in his carrier was in 2002; he main evented Collision Course 4 and won the ACW World title from Xena. To this day Safety Guy is still spreading the word of safety and his alternatives to harmful activities, such as bowling, golf, tennis, and backgammon.
