Jake Xinn made his ACW debut in 1999 at the time he was known as Jake Pain then when he was exposed as being adopted he changed his ring name to he true name Xinn. He was the second person ever to come out of the ACWE power plant. His main roster debut was impressive. He showed off his high flying moves and suplexes that have made him famous today, but although he looked impressive in the ring he seemed to lack some drive and direction, and his lack of charisma seemed to harm his in ring performances as well.
This is were Josh McMullin, and a charisma injection come in. Josh McMullin is another wrestler that came out of the ACWE power plant the same year as Jake. Josh approached Jake about forming a partnership and going after the Tag Team titles. The quest for the Tag titles was on. Double J was formed, and the love affair with the crowd hating these two men began.
The quest for the Tag Team titles is was made Josh and Jake big time players in the ACW. They won and lost the Tag Team titles on many occasions in battles with two of the greatest teams in ACW history, The Spacemen (Houston & Armstrong) and the Acolytes. The tag matches between these three teams are still talked about till this day.
With the new found success in the tag team division came new opportunities. HHH was looking to form a new stable with a young core of guys, so he approached Jake and Josh about joining his stable and with little hesitation Double J joined HHH's new stable deemed Triple Double. Other members of this stable were Chyna, and Paul Pervis Pittsly. This proved to be a good match with Double J gaining tag team gold and HHH along with PPP accumulating World title reigns.
After witnessing the achievements of Double J and other young wrestlers Josh McMullin's uncle and former (NWF) owner Vince McMullin asked Double J to be the new face of the NWF. So Double J accepted and broke away from Triple Double and formed $ Inc with The Red Blazer, Ellina Blazer, Shirly Bane, and Josh McMullin's cousin Gerry McMullin(Vinces Son). This angered Vince who wanted them to set a good example, but they were going about things just like the old guard did. So from that point on Vince had it out for Double J. Vince's tactics worked after many months of medaling and screw jobs to the delight of the fans $ Inc, broke up.
During this time Jake was able to capture his first singles gold when he won the TV title, but at the same time his tag team partner Josh McMullin won his first singles gold as well when he won the North American title. Vince didn't like this so he made Jake and Josh have a title for title match. This was one of the greatest battles in the ACW's history. Jake ended up coming out on the short end, but this didn't slow Jake or the partnership between Josh and Jake.
This is were the last member of the class of 1999 James Lyght comes into play. Lyght just as well as Jake and Josh was becoming very accomplished, to the point where he won the World heavy weight title. When Lyght won the World title this made Jake and Josh very jealous. So they concocted many sceems to emotionally and physically cripple the James Lyght. They even pretended to split up and James joined forces with Josh to find out it was only a trap to humiliate him. This rivalry continues to this day.
Double J got there biggest win in wrestling when Josh McMullin was able to win the World title away from James Lyght at the biggest show of the year Collision Course 2. After McMullin won the title Double J's former tag team rival Armstrong of the Spacemen wanted a title shot and Josh and Jake kept ducking him, so when he finally got his shot he not only beat and took the title he injured McMullin's ribs and back so bad that he would be out for a year. This led Jake to challenge Armstrong for the title and for revenge, but the same result happened to him. Armstrong injured his back so badly that he too would be out for a year. These injuries really made the fans happy they believed that Double J got exactly what they deserved.
With this set back Jake and Josh trained harder and longer than they had before and were determined to comeback and get there revenge. Double J with a year off due to injury made there surprise return at the Owen Hart Memorial PPV 2001, and looked to be back and better than ever, and I must say meaner too. In the same night Armstrong had a draw with his opponent and the ACW commissioners stripped Armstrong of the title and held a tournament to crown a new champion at Collision Course 3.
Both members of Double J were entered into the tournament to crown the new champion, but once again Vince McMullin was out to get them and set the tournament up so that Josh and Jake would meet in the second round. By doing this Vince was hoping to split the two men up, and it almost worked. When Collision Course came around Josh and Jake were starting to crack a little and they wanted to have a 2 out of 3 falls match with the first fall being a normal wrestling match, the second fall a submission match (Jake's specialty) and the third fall being a Last Man Standing match (Josh's specialty). This match turned out to be one of the most celebrated matches in ACW history. Unfortunately for Jake, Josh won this match 2 falls to 1 and went on to the finals and got his revenge on Armstrong and won the World title.
After this great event Jake and Josh decided it was time to get some protection, so they started a new stable, J-Factor. They went out in search of great you talent just as HHH did with them and they found some great wrestlers to join the stable, Alexander Morton, Hank Clampet, & David Graves. This move put Jake and Josh on the top of the ACW.
J-Factor was rolling high that is until the ACW came into some trouble, financial trouble that is. Vince McMullin's accountant screwed up on the taxes and the government came in and took control of the company. With the government in control they didn't want one person in control so they split the company in two and put Jumping Jack Johnson in control of Mayham and Shawn London in control of Chaos. This lead to the rosters being split in two with a roster draft. Jake and Morton ended up on Chaos with Josh, Graves, & Clampet on Mayham.
Since Jake was on Chaos he decided to take control, and start a new stable of his own. Xinn recruited Alexander Morton, Iceberg, & Ellina Blazer to take part of his new stable Pain & Punishment. Jake's new stable was doing great. They even defeated Josh McMullin and the new J-Factor at Stand Off 2002 when Mayham took on Chaos. McMullin and the new J-Factor ended up disbanding and Pain and Punishment continued to be on a roll. Then the IRS and Vince got everything straitened out and the rosters came back together.
When the rosters came back together Jake decided to resolve Pain and Punishment because he found a guy that he wanted to personally train to become just as mean and ruthless as he his, and that man is Tyson J. Mysery. Jake did exactly what he said he was going to do, because TJ came out a pure no nonsense fighting machine.
While training TJ Jake also worked his was to the #1 contender spot for the World title, and the champion just happened to be long time rival James Lyght who was befriended by his former tag team partner Josh McMullin who were calling themselves the Pride of America. James Lyght and Jake Xinn faced off against each other at the Owen Hart Memorial PPV 2003 and Lyght came out on top but Jake had his foot under the rope and the ref didn't see it, so Jake was granted a rematch at Collision Course 5.
In the weeks leading up to Collision Course 5 both Jake and James were asking Josh McMullin who's side he was on and Josh refused to pick sides. This lead to Shawn London putting Josh in the match to make it a triple threat match. This was Jake's first time main eventing the biggest show of the year and he made good by pinning Josh to win the World title. This was the biggest win in Jake Xinn's career.
Jake proved to not be a very fan friendly champion but an effective one none the less, and taking out any challengers in his path. That is until he faced off against former Pain and Punishment member Iceberg at Onslaught 2003, and lost the title. Seeing this Josh turned on James Lyght and asked Jake to join his new vision, Sovereign Darkness. Jake agreed. They recruited former tag team rival Houston formerly of the Spacemen, Jake's prodigy Tyson J. Mysery and his girlfriend Missy Payne.
This stable proved to be Double J's most successful. Houston quickly won the World title and held on to it for 10 months. Then when Collision Course 6 came around Jake and Josh began to argue about who should be the #1 contender for Houston's World title. Then Armstrong also stuck his nose in Sovereign Darknesses business by saying he was the true #1 contender. Funny thing is that none of these men became the #1 contenders, but they all still believed that they deserved it. This lead to a spectacular triple threat match at Collision Course 6. It was a bad night for Sovereign Darkness Jake and Josh were pined at the same time by Armstrong, and Houston lost the World title to James Lyght.
This didn't hold Sovereign Darkness back they quickly righted the ship by getting Houston and Tyson J. Mysery the Tag Team titles, and Jake won the North American title. Then Double J pulled out one of there oldest and tried and true plans by making the World champion Dayhawk think that Jake split from the group and joined his stable the Flock of Dayhawk, and when Dayhawk bought it Josh McMullin was able to beat Dayhawk for the World title when Jake locked the rest of the Flock in the back and was able to easily attack an unsuspecting Dayhawk.
Unfortunately for Sovereign Darkness the bad time returned at the Owen Hart Memorial PPV 2005 when all members of Sovereign Darkness lost there titles. Due to the underhanded tactics used by Sovereign Darkness the roster began to ban together and revolt against the Darkness. The leaders of this uprising was the Revolution who used to be known as the JWO. The two stables decided to meet at Collision Course 7 in a group warfare match and if Sovereign Darkness loses they would disband. The match came down to Tyson J and the Revolution leader Butch Henry with TJ coming out on top by hitting one of the most devastating suplexes in the history of wrestling.
It was after Collision Course 7 that Jake approached Josh and told him that he would be leaving Sovereign Darkness, because he and Josh had been together since the beginning and wanted to know if he was able to get it done on his own. Josh was absolutely shocked by this, but agreed and Jake left the group with no hard feelings.
Jake found out right away that things are a lot harder with out a stable to back you up when Alowishus K. Rodingham entered Jake in his tournament to win a dinner with him, and Jake wanted nothing to do with it. But Jake competed and won the tournament by beating Vic Brister AKR's bodyguard in the finals. So Jake went to dinner with AKR and he and Rodingham weren't getting along then Brister came from nowhere and gave Jake a big Brister boot. Jake ended up getting his revenge on AKR and Brister proving that things are harder on your own but he can do it, and he also won the fans over for the first time in his ACW career.
Then in late 2005 the World title was held up and the powers that be decided to have a roster tournament. Jake made it into the third round where he met up with a old friend Tyson J. Mysery. It was a student Vs. Teacher match and on this occasion the student upset the teacher. TJ went on to beat Jake one more time at Rampage 2005, but Jake got his revenge in a 2 out of 3 falls match on Mayham 11-14-05 winning 2 falls to 1.
Then Jake found himself a new friend and tag team partner Daniel Saskae. Jake took Saskae under his arm because he saw that he had been having a hard time finding a spot on the roster after he left Hung Lo in the dust. So Xinn and Saskae went after the Tag Team titles unfortunately they ran into the longest running Tag Team champions of all time the Hollywood Connection, and fell short of their goal.
After coming up short against the Tag Team champions James Lyght yet again made himself a torn in Jake's side. The two traded victories over each other at consecutive PPV's Blood Red and Assailant Series 2006 leading to the rubber match at the Owen Hart Memorial PPV 2006. This match was a no holds bared match. The Chaos before the PPV James Lyght attacked Jake's shoulder with a shovel making sure that he wouldn't be a hundred percent for their match. This match turned out to be a instant ACW clsssic, and threw pure heart and determination Jake was able to gut out a huge victory.
While Jake was celebrating his big win and eye appeared on the trons in the ACW arena and Hypnosis then started a speech telling Jake that it was him that told Covington Rhodes that he was adopted. Also that he wanted to face him at the biggest show of the year in the biggest match of all time to once and for all find out who the greatest wrestler in the company is, but he doesn't want to face Jake Xinn, he wanted to face Jake Pain. The Jake of old the Jake that didn't care what he did or who he hurt to get the win, and Hypnosis was on a mission to pull that Jake Pain out from the bowels of Jake's sole, and Hypnosis did exactly that by breaking Jake down mind body and sole.
Hypnosis and Jake faced of at Collision Course 8 in a Ultimate Glory match where you have to pin, submit, and TKO your opponent in any order to get the win. This match turned out to truly be one of the best matches in ACW history. Jake hurt Hypnosis like no one has ever hurt the monster of madness before, but Hypnosis was able to win the match by doing to Jake who no one has before by making him tap out.
Both participants of the match were so hurt after this match that the doctors didn't clear them to get back in the ring for many weeks. In that match Jake showed that he is and forever be one of the top guys in the AWC, and a threat to beat any one and win any title at any time.
