Daniel Saskae debuted in the NWF in 2003. He was brought in by Hung Lo as his partner from the orient and he was given the name Hija. Hung Lo treated Hija as a servant more than a friend, and forced him to portray a attack screaming stereo typical martial artist but Hija just seemed to take it in stride.

While Hung Lo wouldn’t treat Hija with respect Hija was earning respect by everyone else with his impressive in ring performances. Then Hung Lo and Hija got the opportunity to wrestle for the Tag Team Titles, and won them. Hung Lo and Hija enjoyed a multi month reign as Tag Team champions.

When Hung Lo and Hija were defeated for the Tag Titles Hung Lo blamed Hija for the loss. Hija once again just took his verbal abuse, but then Hung Lo slapped him and Hija finally had enough and severed his ties with Hung Lo and changed his name to his real name Daniel Saskae.

Saskae would tell us that he got sick of Hung Lo’s abuse and offensive stereo typical attitude. He would also say that Hung Lo’s action’s put a negative spin on the Asian culture. He would then go on to have some memorable matches against Hung Lo. Although Daniel would come up a little short he is still one of the awesome young talents possessed by the NWF.
