Everyone in Absolute Championship Wrestling is proud to announce that we have officially expanded into Spain. Formerly, known as HWA Spain, the federation is now representing Spain on behalf of Absolute Championship Wrestling. With this change, the factions of the rosters of ACW will be referred by their headquarters of operation. So the original roster is now known as ACW America, the group in Spain is now known as ACW Spain, and the training faction, formerly ACW Europe, is now ACW Training. Despite these splits in the roster, ACW remains one federation with members free to wrestle at any location. On behalf of everyone in ACW, I would like to welcome our new brothers in Spain into the group and say we’re proud to have them with us!
We were able to get a comment from the owner of ACW, Dr. Christopher Phillips: “Ever since Vince McMullin basically passed ACW down to me, my goal has been to get more world wide recognition. And the guys who make up ACW Spain came to us and asked for the opportunity. These guys have the guts and talent to become world champions in any group they belong to. And I heard some of them want to come to the United States and face the ACW America champions, and that is exactly what I like to hear!”
Also one of the ACW America wrestlers, Jake Xinn, had a few comments: “It is nice that we have expanded into Spain and now have the Morante Brothers in the same group. Fernando Morante is a friend of mine, and sometimes people call us ‘Beards Without Borders.’ I look forward in facing these guys in cross-faction matches in the future!”
So what do the guys in Spain think about this? We got a few words from Fernando Morante on behalf of ACW Spain: “We feel proud of be part of ACW. Since we are wrestlers, our wish has been in only being part of a big brand. We know that it is difficult in Spain, for that reason we looked for help in the United States. Now we are 9 wrestlers and we are really exited to be part of ACW, especially Francis and I. We will be training every day to be at ACW’s wrestling level. And finally we just want to say when we have an opportunity; we are going to go to Michigan to challenge the champions for the World Titles.”
It looks like this expansion will allow for cooperation and some healthy competition. You can find the ACW Spain roster in the Spain Roster Section. In the coming months, we will have more updates coming from ACW Spain on the website, so keep visting. And finally I would like to repeat our welcome to our friends in Spain into ACW! With their energy, the future of ACW will be bigger and brighter!
